On May 25th, the American Entrepreneurs Association (AEA) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a grand gala and charity banquet at the Hilton San Mateo. The event gathered distinguished guests from across the Bay Area, including leaders in politics, business, education, and community service.

Special guests included former California Governor representatives, San Francisco Family Court Judge Dr. Yongjia Deng, San Mateo County Senator Bruce Ruane’s Chief Representative Amy Lu, San Mateo Police Department leaders, and Dr. Hongliang Li, a respected South Bay community figure. Their presence underscored the significance of this milestone for the association and its ongoing mission.

The evening was co-hosted by AEA President Paul Qian, Executive Steve Huang, and emcees Benson He, Effie Wu, and William Fu. They led a heartfelt program that reflected on the organization’s two decades of dedication to empowering entrepreneurs, strengthening community ties, and giving back through philanthropy.

A highlight of the event was the collaboration with the Lantern Foundation to raise funds for children born with cleft lips in under-resourced regions of Asia. Through moving family stories and performances by young beneficiaries, guests were reminded of the life-changing impact their contributions can make.

The event was supported by an incredible group of community leaders and business sponsors, including Dr. Andrew Cromartly, Gloria Cromartly, Elaine Peng, Steven Wu, Karen Zhu, Jay Zhang, and many others. Institutional partners such as Sterling Bank and Trust and EverBank also played a vital role in making the event possible.

As AEA steps into its next chapter, this celebration reaffirmed its mission: to connect, uplift, and empower changemakers in the Chinese-American business community and beyond.
